Warehouse Operative

We are now seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operative on a 6-month contract. In this role you will maintain the hygiene, health and safety and GMP standards of the warehouse areas and support the production team.

• Report on any equipment issues as required

• Reconcile current production and ensure it is stored correctly

• Assist with completion of all paperwork ensuring it is accurately recorded

• Assist as required with production duties

• Ensure health, safety and welfare of all employees is protected

• Ensure all materials are clearly labelled and stored in a controlled manner

• Maintain correct stock rotation and ensure correct allocation of materials to production

• Actively seek and assist with the implementation of improvements to the warehouse organisation and systems

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, key responsibilities will include:

• Liaise with other departments and outside contractors as required

• Assist with stock takes as required ensuring they are carried out accurately and at the required frequency and all discrepancies are investigated and resolved

• Ensure all dispatches are picked accurately, dispatched on time and the goods issue carried out correctly

• Ensure all deliveries are checked for accuracy, booked in correctly and moved to correct location

• Maintain warehouse in a clean and tidy state, ensuring all GMP and food safety standards are adhered to at all times

Warehouse Team Lead

We have an opportunity for a Team Lead to join the Warehouse operation in Coventry. This individual will be responsible for effectively leading a team of four Warehouse Operatives.

This individual will ensure the smooth running of the Warehouse whilst maintaining the hygiene and GMP standards, ensuring the health & safety paramount.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure that working practices in relation to Health & Safety are maintained throughout the workplace.

• Assist Warehouse Controller in:- Identifying and action changes to potential hazards or unsafe working practices; Carrying out risk assessments, accident and near miss investigations as required; Look after MHE ,report issues accurately , contact out of hours.

Warehouse Operative:

• Ensure all deliveries are checked for accuracy, booked in correctly and moved to correct location.

• Ensure all paperwork is accurately recorded and SAP system is maintained.

• Ensure all dispatches are picked accurately, dispatched on time and the goods issue car-ried out correctly.

• Conduct daily/weekly team briefs reporting content / Issues to Warehouse Controller;

• Provide internal service and support to Customer Service, Production , QA

• Attend morning meetings, reporting any issues / problems which may affect service levels.

Shift Engineer

Mission Foods are now recruiting for a Shift Engineer to work at our site in Coventry. In this role you will be providing a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure and ensuring the schedule PM is carried out as planned. Ensuring Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Advise teams (of Operators) on a continuous basis with regard to simple maintenance and/or continuous improvement.

• Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up

• Provide the Lead Engineer with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift,, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM's completed and other details as required.

• Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.)

• Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the shift are completed.

• Provide support to the team during breaks and absences and work together to ensure completion of their duties

• Demonstrate a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support (teams of) operators

• Carry out work assignments issued by Lead engineer and maximize effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks

• Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Lead engineer

Qualifications and job skills required:

• Desirable skills :- PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control ,instrumentation, welding, FLT license

• Previous food processing industry experience highly desirable

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship.

• Experience of working in an automated production environment.

• Basic Food Hygiene

Mission Foods are now recruiting for a various Production Roles within the business to work at our site in Coventry.

TEAM MEMBER:

Principal purpose of job: To carry out general production related duties to support the needs of the business

Packing - Shuffle product into stacks that are suitable to pack, keep work area clean and tidy, count tortillas. Use equipment used in the packing process, metal detect packages, complete QA paperwork, pack and count product, ensure that the correct labelling/coding is used on each product, palletize the product. Liaison with the Logistics department. Accurate recording of waste. Communication with the Team Leader.

Process - Be familiar with the product/recipes, liaise with logistics, assist with product mixes, liaise with the Quality Assurance department, complete QA paperwork, record waste, label all containers according to formula, line, time, etc., follow all the procedures in place, help cover other positions as necessary

Quality - Check that each product is within specification, check size, weight, shape, taste of product is acceptable. Use specialized equipment to check packaging seals, water activity of the product. Communicate with Team Leader and Quality Assurance if specifications are not met.

MACHINE OPERATOR

To be responsible for the effective operation of equipment as trained within the factory. Controlling, monitoring, adjusting and maintaining the equipment to ensure the best possible quality product is produced at the lowest cost all times while protecting consumer safety in designated work area.

• Set up line/equipment according to process parameters set in specifications and/or work instructions.

• Carry out minor maintenance duties and support maintenance team where assistance is required.

• Ensure procedures are followed and all required checks are carried out accurately and at the correct time intervals.

• Liaise with other departments to ensure consistent performance of machine and products.

• Accurately complete process control paperwork in a timely manner

• Actively manage waste levels in your area of responsibility. Do not accept waste as part of the process.

• Ensure equipment is cleaned according to appropriate cleaning procedure and that the work area is kept clean and tidy at all times including shift changeover and/or shut down.

• Observe Health & Safety, Food safety, Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.

• Assist Shift Supervisor in ensuring team members in area perform tasks to required standard

• Identify and action improvements for areas of poor performance, liaising with Shift Supervisor to carry out projects as required.

Purpose: To provide pro-active support to the HR function in all HR related administration and company procedures including facilities work. Working closely with the full time HR Administrator and the HR Officer, you will work together to ensure a high quality HR service is delivered to the business.

Main Tasks:

• Provide administration support for all HR processes, including recruitment, training, transfers and leavers to ensure the smooth running of the HR department.

• Assist in creating and maintaining HR records, both computerised and manual so that accu-rate information is kept. Includes staff files, staff leaver files and training records.

• Assist with the control and recording of Holiday requests.

• Assist with producing and recording Maternity, Paternity & Parental leave communication.

• Update and maintain personnel database as necessary.

• To assist with preparation of weekly/monthly payroll information.

• Maintain noticeboards – update on regular basis.

• Collate ad hoc data, statistics and reports to individuals and departments to meet specified requirements.

Mission Foods are now recruiting for a Customer Technical Account Manager to work at our site in Coventry. In this role you will be managing the technical relationship between Mission and Institutional customers specifically Greencore, (possibly extending to KFC, and McDonalds) that have products produced across multiple sites; ensuring all technical needs are met in full and on time. This role is a largely client-facing role which requires you to work on both strategic long term and short term plans and projects. You will need to build strong relationships with clients on various levels as well as acquire thorough knowledge about their business. You will need to present technical solutions to non-technical people.

Job Specifics
• Liaise with customer Technologists, ensuring that their queries and/or requests are responded to in a timely manner.
• Meeting project deadlines.
• Take an active role in the development and maintenance of the Quality Plan and the HACCP documents to CUSTOMER standards and to ensure that the requirements of these are communicated to the factory floor and implemented.
• Reporting: Provide regular, accurate, timely written reports as required by the Technical Manager, Operations Manager or Customer.
• Provide root cause analysis of information on non-conformances and customer complaints. Be proactive in customer complaint reduction communicating actions to the customer on a regular basis.
• Take the lead in customer technical visits/audits as required and ensuring that the site is prepared for such visits in advance.
• Play a key part in the artwork approval process; ensuring artwork is accurate and legal.
• Ensure accurate and timely specifications are in place for customer finished products.
• Chair the Customer Quality meetings, ensuring minutes of the meeting are kept and actions followed through.
• Communicate to Mission site Technical Manager relevant non-shop-floor/Quality Department issues.
• Liaise with external laboratory ensuring customer out of specification results are appropriately communicated internally and acted on.
