Mission Foods are now recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Engineer to work at our site in Coventry. In this role you will be providing a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure and ensuring the schedule PM is carried out as planned. Ensuring Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Carry out work assignments issued by Lead engineer and maximize effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks

• Demonstrate a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support (teams of) operators

• Provide support to the team during breaks and absences and work together to ensure completion of their duties

• Follow all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions at all times.

• Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the shift are completed.

• Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.)

• Provide the Lead Engineer with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM's completed and other details as required.

• Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up

• Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Lead engineer

• Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.)

• Advise teams (of Operators) on a continuous basis with regard to simple maintenance and/or continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Job Skills Required:

• Previous food processing industry experience highly desirable

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship.

• Experience of working in an automated production environment.

• A good standard of both written and oral English

• Basic Food Hygiene

• Basic Health & Safety

• Data and analytical skills

• Computer literate. (word/excel/windows based packages)

• Desirable skills :- PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control ,instrumentation, welding, FLT license

Project Delivery Manager

Purpose of the Role:

• Primary aim is to manage projects to on time successful conclusion, and to meet profitability targets

• The role encompasses certain aspects of the NPD process from concept to launch, including: blue sky innovation, commercial viability, cost reduction, organising trials, artwork approval, cost cards, and building closer customer working relationships, supporting internal & external customers

• Key Management of critical paths for NPD projects. All new and improved products launched satisfactorily on time

• A primary day-to-day point of contact on general NPD both internally and with customers

• Project Delivery Manager will be aligned to customer business requirements

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Projects are allocated to a Project Delivery Manager via UK NPD Manager in alignment with a project sponsor

• Accountable for on time delivery, manages projects through people, with no direct reports

• Gate keeper for project critical paths

• To work with multi manufacturing site and multi-channel (Retail and OOH)

• To work with multi products - wraps, naan, pitta, chips, kits, flatbreads

• To work with Process Ingredient Manager/Innovation & Brand Innovation Technolo-gists/Process Technologists/Innovation Packaging Technologist

• Fully customer facing, and the 'go to' person for the project

• To liaise with Technical, sign off customer artwork, QAS (Quality Attribute Standards), and PDI forms(Product Information Forms)

• Monitors cost cards as they evolve, and ensures Contribution Margin stays on track

• Ensures shelf life is evaluated & validated prior to final customer product approval and by the Site Technical Manager

• Will work closely with Operational Teams during the project and in alignment with other departments

• Would be a potential contact for co – packers

Qualifications & Job Skills Required:

• Project Management experience within food manufacturing

• Ideally retail and OOH experience aligned with NPD and Technical experience

• Qualified to Degree level in either Food Science/ Food Technology or closely related subject or comparable work experience

• Good organisational and project working skills

• Good analytical and report writing/presentation skills. Thoroughness and attention to detail

• Flexibility to working outside of normal working hours work will be necessary at certain times dependent on trial schedule/workload etc.

• Team leadership skills and to be able to delegate where required

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Carry out work assignments issued by Lead engineer and maximize effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks.

- Carry out the assigned activities to meet operational targets; working with other functions to ensure mutual objectives are met.

- Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.).

- Resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.

- Ensure all parts removed from stores while on shift are booked out of stores in the correct way

- Where necessary, must initiate the purchase of parts or equipment completing the relevant order requisition forms with relevant information., handing them into the Lead engineer or Engineering Stores Administrator for processing

- Provide the Lead Engineer with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift,, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM's completed and other details as required.

- Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.

- Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Lead engineer.

- Complete “Permit to Work' system when appropriate.

- Advise teams (of Operators) on a continuous basis with regard to simple maintenance and/or continuous improvement.

Work closely with Production teams (Leads and operators and shift supervisors). Work under super-vision of Lead Engineers. Also Liaise with QA, Logistics and Warehouse as required. Ensure that handovers are smooth and efficient whilst sharing relevant information with shift engineers. This should be carried out in the plant. Request/give information from/to Lead Engineer.Capable of instructing un-skilled/semi-skilled people in simple operations of equipment and set up of machinery (on going).

Qualifications:

- Previous food processing industry experience highly desirable

- Electrical qualifications/time served apprenticeship With PLC programming experience (Allen Brad-ley)use of logix software and network systems

- 2 Years experience of working in an automated production environment.

This role offers a great opportunity for a junior marketer looking for more autonomy and to develop their wider marketing skills. Working as part of a small team, there's lots of opportunity to be exposed to (and take responsibility for) many different elements of the marketing mix and to make a real and visible difference within the business. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a relatively fast paced and fluid environment, liaising with different departments within the business. The role spans both retail and out of home (OOH) sectors.

Skills/experience
A minimum 2 years marketing experience
Good working knowledge of market data, ideally IRI and Kantar
Understanding of trade marketing and the key elements involved

Trade marketing – working with external agencies, retailers, sales and marketing to develop and execute best possible in-store marketing activity for the Mission brand, ensuring key stakeholders are kept in the loop throughout.

The following is a description of the key areas of the role. However, given it's a small department and a fluid structure there may be other ad-hoc activities that fall outside this.

1. Retail project management – manage a number of marketing projects. These will vary depending on experience but will include things such as
a. Straightforward NPD – eg, Limited Edition range development
b. Pack design changes
c. Website updates

2. OOH marketing management – be the marketing lead for this important channel, from brand planning through to execution of key projects including but not limited to
a. NPD – agreeing priorities, working with the development team to ensure product development is in line with our needs and working with agencies to develop advertising, PR and design plans that will maximise success
b. Trade shows – working with our sales & PR teams to ensure that Mission Foods are well represented at key trade events
c. General PR & advertising management – agree annual plans and work with agencies to ensure plans are executed with excellence

Ensure the appropriate Manager completes a thorough documented investigation using the accident report form and in the case of a major incident the Major Incident Procedure must be followed.

Skills/Experience:

 Currently or recently worked within the Snacking, Ethnic grocery, Bakery or chilled categories preferred. 

 Experience working with both branded and Own Label.
