Mission Foods are now recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Engineer to work at our site in Coventry. In this role you will be providing a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure and ensuring the schedule PM is carried out as planned. Ensuring Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Carry out work assignments issued by Lead engineer and maximize effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks

• Demonstrate a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support (teams of) operators

• Provide support to the team during breaks and absences and work together to ensure completion of their duties

• Follow all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions at all times.

• Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the shift are completed.

• Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.)

• Provide the Lead Engineer with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM's completed and other details as required.

• Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up

• Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Lead engineer

• Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.)

• Advise teams (of Operators) on a continuous basis with regard to simple maintenance and/or continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Job Skills Required:

• Previous food processing industry experience highly desirable

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship.

• Experience of working in an automated production environment.

• A good standard of both written and oral English

• Basic Food Hygiene

• Basic Health & Safety

• Data and analytical skills

• Computer literate. (word/excel/windows based packages)

• Desirable skills :- PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control ,instrumentation, welding, FLT license

Salary: £33,650.00 /year

Maintenance Manager NEW

To supervise and direct Engineers to ensure maximum effectiveness and utilisation of Plant and Engineering resource. To ensure a pro-active approach to the prevention of equipment failure through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and where required a rapid response to break down where failure occurs. Ensuring Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times by Engineers and Operators.

Environment
Primarily based in production areas, work may also include working outside or on roof areas, stairwells, ducts, plant rooms, office areas and warehouse.

May have to work exposed to weather occasionally using suitable protective equipment/PPE.
Occasionally may have to work in confined spaces.

 Deputise for the Engineering Manager as required

 Advise teams on a continuous basis with regard to simple maintenance and/or continuous improvement.

 Ensure compliance of “Permit to Work' system at weekends/nights by all employees/contractors

 Oversee weekend work schedule completion and supervise contractors while on site.

 Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Engineering Manager

 Identify and analyse problems together with teams before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.

  Where a single downtime incident is in excess of 1 hour a detailed report, explaining cause, solution, labour used and times of attendance by Engineers will be submitted.

 Where necessary, must initiate the purchase of parts, tools or equipment completing the relevant order requisition forms with relevant information handing them into the Engineering Stores Administrator for processing

 Ensure all parts removed from stores while on shift are booked out of stores in the cor-rect way

 Order spare parts as required on shift if unavailable from stock and contact contrac-tors/suppliers as required in order to resolve problems.

 Efficiently manage and facilitate teams to resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.

 Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.).

 Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritize work as agreed.
 Coordinate the activities of your team to meet operational targets; working with other functions to ensure mutual objectives are met.

 Log all completed Work orders on the PM system.

 Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the team are completed.

 Ensure that all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions, etc. are adhered to at all times.

 Provide support to team during breaks and absences and work together with Engineers in the completion of their duties.

. Ensure a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and sup-port (teams of) operators.

 Effectively coordinates the Engineers activities: work assignments and maximize effec-tiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient use of each Engineer.

Project Delivery Manager

Purpose of the Role:

• Primary aim is to manage projects to on time successful conclusion, and to meet profitability targets

• The role encompasses certain aspects of the NPD process from concept to launch, including: blue sky innovation, commercial viability, cost reduction, organising trials, artwork approval, cost cards, and building closer customer working relationships, supporting internal & external customers

• Key Management of critical paths for NPD projects. All new and improved products launched satisfactorily on time

• A primary day-to-day point of contact on general NPD both internally and with customers

• Project Delivery Manager will be aligned to customer business requirements

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Projects are allocated to a Project Delivery Manager via UK NPD Manager in alignment with a project sponsor

• Accountable for on time delivery, manages projects through people, with no direct reports

• Gate keeper for project critical paths

• To work with multi manufacturing site and multi-channel (Retail and OOH)

• To work with multi products - wraps, naan, pitta, chips, kits, flatbreads

• To work with Process Ingredient Manager/Innovation & Brand Innovation Technolo-gists/Process Technologists/Innovation Packaging Technologist

• Fully customer facing, and the 'go to' person for the project

• To liaise with Technical, sign off customer artwork, QAS (Quality Attribute Standards), and PDI forms(Product Information Forms)

• Monitors cost cards as they evolve, and ensures Contribution Margin stays on track

• Ensures shelf life is evaluated & validated prior to final customer product approval and by the Site Technical Manager

• Will work closely with Operational Teams during the project and in alignment with other departments

• Would be a potential contact for co – packers

Qualifications & Job Skills Required:

• Project Management experience within food manufacturing

• Ideally retail and OOH experience aligned with NPD and Technical experience

• Qualified to Degree level in either Food Science/ Food Technology or closely related subject or comparable work experience

• Good organisational and project working skills

• Good analytical and report writing/presentation skills. Thoroughness and attention to detail

• Flexibility to working outside of normal working hours work will be necessary at certain times dependent on trial schedule/workload etc.

• Team leadership skills and to be able to delegate where required

• Problem solving, good analytical and presentation skills

Ensure that handovers are smooth and efficient whilst sharing relevant information with shift engineers. This should be carried out in the plant. Request/give information from/to Lead Engineer.Capable of instructing un-skilled/semi-skilled people in simple operations of equipment and set up of machinery (on going).

Qualifications:

- Previous food processing industry experience highly desirable

- Electrical qualifications/time served apprenticeship With PLC programming experience (Allen Brad-ley)use of logix software and network systems

- 2 Years experience of working in an automated production environment.

- A good standard of both written and oral English

Customer Service Representative NEW

  1. 1. Receiving sales orders by email, fax, EDI and phone. Identify material number(s), quantities and supplying depot and enter onto SAP.

    Primary interaction is with Customers of Mission Foods but also close liaison with planning, warehouse logistics, hauliers third party warehouse & the commercial team.

    9. Receive customer complaints and ensure they are resolved quickly and sympathetically, keeping the customer informed at all stages of the process.

    7. Monitor stock levels at outside warehouses and take corrective action as necessary.

    6. Handle and resolve all customer queries on deliveries and invoicing.

    5. Raise invoice when goods have been despatched, after amending delivery note if necessary.

    4. Organise transport and relevant export documentation.

    3. Raise delivery note and transmit to shipping point, verifying batch number and monitor process to ensure customer needs are met.

    2. Check stock availability and notify haulier as appropriate, according to whether frozen or ambient and country of destination.
